Ik ben initiatiefnemer en directeur van het Ambacht in Beeld Festival, een jaarlijks evenement met documentaires, workshops, lezingen en masterclasses, gericht op ambachtelijk meesterschap. In september 2023 staat de 9e editie van het festival, op de nieuwe locatie NDSM Loods in Amsterdam gepland. Ik heb het festival tweemaal in New York georganiseerd (zie Craft in Focus in New York) en in maart 2024 staat de eerste editie van Ambacht in Beeld Brussel gepland, in Gare Maritime.
Ik ben afgestudeerd als cultureel en visueel antropoloog en heb onderzoek gedaan en gefilmd in Nepal, Guatemala en de Filippijnen. Ik maak graag documentaires over ambachten. Verder geef ik workshops documentaire maken in Nederland en Spanje en maak korte films voor tentoonstellingen in musea. Zie de filmografie.
Als consultant/editor werk ik regelmatig voor DTN consultancy. Ik heb ruim tweehonderd diepgaande interviews met topspecialisten gemonteerd tot inhoudelijke, thematische compilaties, die gebruikt worden bij strategische scenarioworkshops.
In 2021 was ik verbonden aan de Universiteit Leiden als docent Visual Methods. Ik geef incidenteel gastcollege aan de UvA, Universiteit Leiden en Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.
In 2021 heb ik de opleiding tot ACT-coach gevolgd bij de StressWise Academy, in 2022 volgde ik tevens de module IBCT relatietherapie (dr. Pieternel Dijkstra) en Coachen 3.0 (Sergio van der Pluijm). Ik ben mijn eigen coachpraktijk gestart.
In het boek ‘Gouden Handen, Ambachten in Nederland’ (Nederlands Centrum voor Volkscultuur en Immaterieel Erfgoed, 2013) ben ik als opinieleider geïnterviewd. Bekijk het artikel hier: Interview Gouden Handen.
Sinds januari 2022 ben ik programmamaker bij Babel Zaans architectuurplatform.

I am the founder and director of the Ambacht in Beeld / Craft in Focus Festival, a yearly international, interactive event focusing on master craftsmanship.
The 9th edition of the festival will be held at the NDSM Loods in Amsterdam in September 2023 and the first Belgian edition is planned for March 2024 in Brussels, at Gare Maritime.
I create short films for exhibitions in musea, edits audiovisual projections in cooperation with artists, and enjoys making documentary films on crafts. I am a trained cultural and visual anthropologist and conducted research in the Philippines, Guatemala, and Nepal, in combination with film projects. I teaches workshops Filmmaking in the Netherlands and in Spain. I am one of the founders of Cineblend, a monthly evening with dinner, film, and debate in Amsterdam.
In 2021 I was lecturer in Visual Methods at the University Leiden.
With Daniel Erasmus and the DTN, a leading specialist consultancy in scenario thinking, I work as an editor. I have edited over two hundred deep interviews with top specialists, into thematic, insightful compilations, to be used during strategic workshops.
In 2021 I studied to be an ACT-coach, at the StressWise Academy. In 2022 I also studied IBCT relationship therapy and Coaching 3.0. I started my coaching practice in Zaandam, where I help individuals and couples towards a life based on values, learning concrete new skills to accept what is and to be dedicated to what you would like to achieve (a fulfilling life, a meaningful relationship).
Since January 2022 I am the program manager for Babel Zaans architectuurplatform.
